James Harden would be “torn” between the Sixers and the Rockets…

Where will play James Harden next season, he who has a “player option” of 35.6 million dollars for 2023/24? According to the latest rumours, his choice will be either on the Sixerswhere we hope he will stay to go to the end of the adventure, either on the Rocketswhere the interest would be mutual between the two camps.

In any case, according to Shams Charaniathe interested party himself would currently be “torn” between these two possibilities and, three weeks before the “free agency”, he would therefore still hesitate as much between an extension to Philadelphia and a return to Houston.

What is certain is that James Harden will be looking for a last big contract this summer and that both teams have enough to satisfy him. On the one hand, eliminated this year in the conference semi-finals, the Sixers can give him the opportunity to fight for the title after which he has been chasing for a long time. On the other, in the reconstruction phase but eager to afford veterans, the Rockets can offer him a substantial salary, because they will have between 60 and 70 million dollars to pay on the market.

The 2018 MVP (21.0 points, 10.7 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals on average this season) therefore seems a bit in the dark and it is to be expected that the situation around him will not settle down until very late…
