Hours after being suspended for eight games by the NBA for filming himself with a gun in his hand, Ja Morant gave his first interview. Facing him, former player Jalen Rose, who had defended him from the start of the case.

Morant criticizes the media because “most of the incidents reported are lies” and he is “can’t wait to finally tell the truth”. He assures that his priority remains his family, and in particular their safety.
“Personally, I feel good mentally, as I haven’t for many years. I am in a situation where I feel very comfortable. I was constantly talking to therapists. I have had Reiki treatments. I’ve been doing breathing exercises for anxiety, different things to help me deal with that and free my body of all those things. I made a terrible mistake by entering this club and doing this Live. I put myself in a bad situation, and my daughter with it. Sometimes my daughter tells me when she’s had a bad day, and I thought I could follow her and tell someone. »
