“I have a superpower”: the first comic book by Stephen Curry

Father of three children, Stephen Curry has also multiplied actions aimed at the youngest, to develop the practice of basketball or promote their education. Today, it is through a comic strip entitled “I have a superpower”, illustrated by Geneva Bowers, that he intends to inspire young people.

The author didn’t have to look far to find an inspiring story to tell about his path, far from being mapped out, which made him one of the best players in the history of basketball. This time, it’s the story of a little “Hughes” that he invites us to follow.

“You can always go back to when I started playing basketball at the age of 5. I then started playing more organized basketball when I was 9 years old. I wasn’t tall enough, I was skinny, and I was never told I was the best at anything. I had to go through these trial and failure experiences. I think it’s something that hopefully most people can learn from, to relate to and be inspired by.”, did he declare.

Every child has a passion, something they love to do and thrive on, and it’s up to everyone to find their “superpower” through their experiences. Here is the message of Stephen Curry’s first comic book.

“We are all unique and we all have something to offer the world. And if you have a work ethic, if you have a belief, and if you feel that what you need is already within you, then good things will happen to you.”

The comic is already on sale on Amazon (in English).
