Faced with a Ja Morant quickly in legs, the Kings managed a very good start to the match, in attack as in defense. They are patient, take open shots and are ten points clear. Except it won’t last.
With his bench, Memphis will come back and take control. Especially at the start of the second quarter, when the Kings will struggle for a few minutes. Then the Grizzlies will never let go of their lead.
However, De’Aaron Fox and his gang tried to shake them up but failed to make enough effort to make them doubt. He always missed something. The men of Taylor Jenkins, they placed a 13-0 at the end of the third quarter and the start of the last which ensured this success (100-125). It’s a second straight win for the Tennessee players.
WHAT YOU MUST REMEMBER
Mastery of the Grizzlies. In a fairly classic meeting, without enormous intensity or crazy blows, the Grizzlies were able to stay the course, not to fall asleep. Ja Morant launched his team in the first quarter and the depth of the group did the rest. Memphis won every quarter (almost by the same score: 32-28, 31-28, 31-27 twice) without shaking.
Fourth straight loss for Sacramento. Mike Brown and his men certainly had a tough schedule to start the season – Blazers, Clippers, Warriors, Grizzlies – but after four games, they still have not a single victory on the clock. And this is the second time in a row, after Golden State, that they have scored 125 points.

✅ Desmond Bane. If it was Ja Morant who was the most prominent at the start of the meeting, and the entire Memphis collective responded, the most dominant player in this meeting is Bane. It is in the continuity of his match at 38 units against Brooklyn since he finished with 31 points at 11/18 in shooting and especially 6/8 at 3-pts.
⛔ Domantas Sabonis. As the Lithuanian borders on the triple-double (11 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists), one would think that he succeeded in his match, but this is not really the case. He was too discreet in attack and uninspired in defense, notably with three faults in the first half. The former interior of the Pacers delivered great passes, but his four lost balls weigh down his record. Moreover, he only attempted six shots. If the Kings want to win matches, he will have to be more present.
