Draymond Green finally back at the end of March? | NBA

A little over two weeks ago, Draymond Green explained that he was aiming for a return to the field within “three to four weeks”. We could therefore hope to see the defensive leader of Golden State again just after All-Star Weekend.

But while he played the reporters during the weekend of the stars, the strong winger visibly pushed back his estimates. While Charles Barkley joked about asking him on Sunday when he would come out of retirement, Draymond Green replied that he was aiming for a return within… “three or four weeks”.

Hit in the lower back, the Warrior however reassured by explaining that he felt good and that he was progressing.

But it’s starting to take a long time for the three-time NBA champion (2015, 2017 and 2018) whose physical problems began in mid-December and whose last “real” match took place on January 5. If he only returns within four weeks, he will therefore have missed 37 games since the start of the campaign, for only 34 games played.

Above all, he will only have ten games to find his rhythm before the playoffs, and with Klay Thompson, with whom he could only play a few seconds this season.

But Golden State will need a fit Draymond Green if the club wants to go far in the postseason.
