Ayo Dosunmu, curious and motivated

Chicago native Ayo Dosunmu is one of the darlings of the United Center, who appreciates him as much for his committed style of play as for his state of mind and his contagious energy.

Three extra pounds of muscle on the scale

“I want to be able to cross the pitch four or five more times without getting tired”he said about what motivated him to work the way he did.

The results seem to live up to his expectations and the work done, with the player gaining approximately more than three kilos of muscle since the end of the last campaign.

“I feel much stronger, during shocks, when I try to defend against my direct opponent, or to finish in the circle. I wanted to feel stronger than last year in all aspects of my game”.

Ready to take on greater responsibilities

Propelled into the five majors last season, notably following the combined injuries of Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball, Ayo Dosunmu will claim the same status in the coming season. Chicago starting point guard at 22? A responsibility he is ready to take on, even if he does not make it a priority.

“I’m a competitor, so every time I step onto a pitch, whether I’m a starter or not, I’m going to go out there and fight.”, he pointed out.

Even if he is still far from having arrived, with a season in his legs, Ayo Dosunmu will have more experience and knowledge of what is expected of him. One thing is certain for his coach, Billy Donovan, the former resident of Illinois will be ready to meet the challenges of this new season.

“As a playmaker, he has to be able to balance the pitch. He must place the players in the right places. He has to be able to handle these things. It will be another step to learn for him.said Billy Donovan. “I’m not really worried about Ayo for the challenges that will be presented to him. He always seems able to meet them.

Until the eventual return of Lonzo Ball, he will have great opportunities to show what he has in his stomach.
