At the end of the suspense, a 3-point of Draymond Green crucifies the pistons!

Back at home after five outdoor games, the Warriors do not waste time to rumble the Chase Center starting with a 9-0. The pistons quickly get back to the place, responding with an 8-0 thanks to the Cade Cunningham-Jalen Duren duo (9-8). The defenses and clumsiness, however, dominate this first quarter. None of the two teams exceed 36% success when they already accumulate ten lost balloons (22-20).

After a false fire alert in the room, the Dennis Schroder trio (11 points)-Isaiah Stewart-Malik Beasley increases the tone on both sides of the field to set the advantage to Detroit (29-24). A dead time by Steve Kerr and two 2+1 by Jimmy Butler (26 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists), however, relaunch the machine (32-32). Gui Santos then responded several times to a Jalen Duren (13 points, 13 rebounds) already in double, and the break it is the pistons who take a short head in advance (54-51).

Duel Jimmy Butler – Cade Cunningham

On the return from the locker room, like in New York or Brooklyn, Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler take matters into his own hands. They mark eleven of the first thirteen Golden State points to put their team in mind (66-64). Until now at 1/6 on shots, Malik Beasley (17 points) leaves his head from the water. He marks his first 3-point in the match and continues by two 2+1. Cade Cunningham follows suit, and Detroit takes up five points ahead (75-70).

In Taulier, Jimmy Butler brings back the Warriors by attacking the circle and causing mistakes. He scores ten points in a row, but Cunningham takes responsibility and does the same, ending the period with 19 points to put Detroit at +3 (87-84).

Draymond Green's “dagger”

Five points in Tobias Harris (15 points, 12 rebounds) gives five points ahead of the pistons, but the return of Stephen Curry changes the situation. A basket with the fault, a decisive pass, followed by a 2+1 by Gui Santos (15 points, 6 rebounds) give the advantage to Golden State (97-94). The intensity then rises with a notch. Detroit's defense causes two lost balloons, and the continuous hunt (105-105).

With less than two minutes to play, Jimmy Butler plants a shot in halfway but a franc throw from Dennis Schroder followed by two points in Cade Cunningham transition give a point ahead of the pistons (108-107). While the Warriors are looking for Stephen Curry, the good defense of Schroder leaves Draymond Green (12 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists) alone with 3-point and he hits the bull's eye (111-108). With 14 seconds at the time, Malik Beasley is missing the equalization ball, and Golden State ends up winning!

What to remember

– A perfume of playoffs at the Chase Center. 77 free throws, 56 faults, 38 lost balloons…. The Warriors and the pistons fought a trenches, interrupted for a few minutes by a false fire alert in the first half. It was not beautiful as shown in the 9 lost cunningham cade balloons. There has been a lot of waste like 4/15 3-point from Stephen Curry. But the two stars also shone with thousand lights. Cunningham scored 19 of his 31 points in an impressive third quarter, while Curry scored 13 of his 32 points in the last quarter. Strongly April!

– The final “boom” by Draymond Green. All Warriors fans surely had the same reaction when seeing Draymond Green uncheck a 3-point shot to take the advantage with 24 seconds to play. “Oh no! »»While he had lacked the whole match, he did not hesitate for a second to take the decisive shooting. “Boom !! »» “It is his confidence that makes the difference,” Confirmed Steve Kerr and after the meeting Stephen Curry was screaming “Boom” at all going in the corridor to the locker room.

– 25,000 career points for Stephen Curry. In the third quarter on a 3-point shot, Stephen Curry became the 26th player in history to exceed the 25,000-point mark scored in career. After being incandescent during the five -game road trip to the East, Curry was less skilful that night but just as decisive to enter the history in the best way. On the other hand, he still has not reached the 40 -point mark against the pistons …
