Anthony Davis’ nasty injury | NBA

An NBA season is anything but smooth sailing for the Lakers, and especially for Anthony Davis. Very fragile since his debut in the NBA, the All-Star interior was injured again last night. All alone, on a rebound struggle, where his left ankle ends up at right angles after having slipped on the heel of Rudy Gobert.

We were three minutes from halftime, and Anthony Davis compiled 17 points at 7 of 9 on shots.

X-rays revealed no fracture, and AD is going to have an MRI to find out the severity of his sprain. On the images, we can fear that it is quite serious, and that its unavailability will be several weeks.

“Anthony was very dejected” said Frank Vogel, who spoke with his player at halftime. “He couldn’t believe it… He is particularly disappointed because he knows he will still miss matches. He was back, he was on fire… and we’re losing him again. He’s having an MRI on Thursday, and we’ll know more later.”
