A return of Robert Williams III under the tree?

A beautiful, and big, upcoming Christmas present for the Celtics? After talking with the agent of the person concerned, Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Robert WilliamsIII should return around this time of year.

This would still leave a good month to the pivot, spent on the billiards at the end of September to undergo an arthroscopy of the left knee, before receiving, the following month, an injection of PRP (plasma rich in platelets). At the end of September, there was talk of an estimated absence of between two and three months.

The insider notes that despite the expected return of the usual starting pivot, the Celtics could be aiming for an inside reinforcement as the next trade deadline approaches in February. Just to add a rotation behind Al Horford who, at 36, still plays 32 minutes per game this season.

According to MassLive, the Celtics, who have already set up an exchange with the Spurs last February (Derrick White), would have their sights on the pivot Jakob Poeltl. The local media also recalls that the contracts of Noah Vonleh and Justin Jackson are not guaranteed, which means that they could be released to make room.

The Celtics, who host the Bucks on Christmas Eve, are still leaders in their conference, and even in the NBA, with a current record of 14 wins and only 4 losses.
