Trea Turner at the Cubs in 2023: a very real possibility

The Los Angeles Dodgers have an excellent shortstop player in their hands who first served as an insurance policy for Corey Seager in 2021.

But in 2022, he’s the one with the shortstop throne. Without him, the Dodgers would still be dominant, but he’s part of the recipe.

Will he return in 2023, he who will be a free agent this winter? He hasn’t closed the door on a longer-term comeback, but we know he prefers the eastern United States to the west. He comes from Florida.

However, he keeps repeating that he is in LA. He could well make an exception for the Dodgers and settle there. “It’s all in play,” he said.

But obviously, with such talent available, several clubs will inquire about his services. We know that the Phillies are often linked to the file.

And according to rumors, it is true that “everything could be at stake” for him since the Chicago Cubs, a club which is established in Arizona in the spring, could indeed be interested in his services.

We know the Cubs want to spend this winter.

And according to reports, Turner would also be interested in potentially joining the ranks of the Cubs during the offseason.

He would first like to know their long-term plans since he doesn’t want to lose in Chicago. That said, as the club wants to spend massively, it could speed up the reconstruction.

Playing in Chicago (at Wrigley Field) is magical and you can understand thinking about signing there.

  • If the Blue Jays are alive two weeks out from the World Series, some Nationals players will have questions to ask.
  • What will the pitcher do in Washington?
  • Trevor Richards will be the starter tonight.
  • Trevor Story is absent from the line-up.
