The Red Sox join the Yankees in the standings

Right now it’s tough for the Yankees. For what? Because the club have many injuries and with Aaron Judge who could go on the injured list… let’s say it again: it’s difficult.

We realize his importance and the talent of the team when he is absent.

Without the captain for a few days, the Yankees are looking for each other. They’ve lost their last three games to Rangers (including 15-2 today) with a weakened roster.

Having Aaron Hicks regularly in the lineup is not easy.

The club lost Sunday afternoon against Texas and since the Red Sox won their game, the standings are not to their advantage.

In fact, on this last day of April, the Yankees are in last place in the standings.

The Rays (who squandered a four-point lead in the ninth against the White Sox, who eventually won a ball game) are on top, but the rest of the division is relatively similar at 4.5 games behind.

But the fact remains that the Yankees are last.

Even worse? Over the next two weeks, they have seven games on the schedule against the mighty Tampa Bay Rays.

Let’s hope for the Yankees that Judge can play…

Obviously, we are only at 1/6 of the season and there is still big baseball to play. That said, such a delay can be difficult to fill once the big summer months arrive.

With eight games away from the Rays, let’s say that the plan is already, among the Bombardiers, to find big players (and big pitchers) to fight for the best second. And if there is a big winning streak within a few months, which is possible, we will adjust expectations.
