Roger Maris Jr. considers Aaron Judge to be the real king of the circuits

After securing the American League East title, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone wanted to give star player Aaron Judge a day off, despite the fact that not only Judge is at pursuit of Roger Maris’ record, but he is still in contention for the Triple Crown.

However, after a discussion with Boone, Judge declined his skipper’s offer and was inserted into the front row of the Bronx Bombers batting lineup, acting as the hitter of choice.

Results? Judge finally tied the American League record for most home runs in a season by shooting his 61e long ball over the left field fence at Rogers Center.

A Toronto Blue Jays fan could have caught the historic ball, but was unsuccessful as it eventually landed in the Blue Jays bullpen.

The one whose life could have changed drastically if he had been able to trap the ball in his glove is called Frankie Lasagna and owns a restaurant (where he does not serve lasagna). We bet that the visit rate to his restaurant may increase in the coming days, but Lasagna may also have nightmares of this missed opportunity.

Judge will certainly not complain, he who finally gave the precious object to his mother. A very beautiful moment.

Following this feat, several MLB protagonists, including Derek Jeter, congratulated the Judge. All eyes in the baseball world were on the great outfielder.

The record holder’s son, Roger Maris Jr., has also spoken out about Judge’s prowess. Among other things, he claimed that if his father’s record is broken by Judge, he will be the real king of the circuits because the Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire were doped. He also adds that MLB should review its records and fix it.

This is certainly a defensible opinion, even if it is difficult to rewrite history. However, no one can take away from the Judge what he has accomplished during this campaign.

An extraordinary season that will not be seen again anytime soon!
