The rise of two Red Sox points at the start of the ninth was not sufficient to push the match further.
To see him succeed in such a feat in a context where all the attention of the world is on him is something. But from the end of the series against Boston, he can move on, including thinking about playing the first goal.
Note that Devers is the 12th player in the story to strike, in less than a week, a circuit for a team and a circuit against this same team. In his case, the team is Boston.
