Pablo Guerrero (Vladimir’s son) agrees with Rangers

More than a year ago, we introduced you to the Guerrero family. It is known that Vladimir had several children (nine) and several of his sons have a natural talent for baseball.

I don’t think I need to remind you that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is one of the best players on the planet for the Blue Jays.

But Junior is now no longer the only one to have signed a contract with the pros.

Why? Because his younger brother Pablo, an outfielder, signed as an international free agent in the Texas Rangers organization.

It’s ironic to see the Vladimir lads signing with clubs that have links to the father. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had signed in Canada (like his father) and with the last club his father signed for.

Senior never played in Toronto, but he signed a career-ending minor contract with the Jays regardless.

And in 2010, Vlad signed a contract in Texas. This is where Pablo goes, precisely.

Pablo doesn’t have the potential of his big brother, who signed for $3.9 million. The new Rangers signed for $100,000 with a $50,000 scholarship.

It’s hard to say if Pablo Guerrero will have the same kind of career as his father or his brother. That remains to be seen for the 16-year-old only.

But because of his name, he will have his chances.
