It’s rare that the big stars of MLB get to play together, but the World Baseball Classic does. Candy for the fans and for the players themselves.
This is the case of the third baseman of the United States, Nolan Arenado, who can walk the field alongside Mike Trout. The two were also able to play two preseason games together against the Los Angeles Angels.
Although the results of these two meetings were not important, Arenado was very impressed with the captain of the American team.
He brings his background as the best player in the world to the clubhouse. He’s a great teammate who talks about the game. He’s always ready to talk about how to hit and he works hard. This guy works so hard. Now I know why he is the best.
We already knew it, but Arenado’s comments confirm it, it is the work ethic of the one who is participating in the World Classic for the first time in his career that has made him one of the best, if not the best in MLB in all his years.
Arenado can continue to watch that ethos in action as the United States enter the group stage of the tournament tomorrow night (Saturday) against Great Britain.
