In 2023, a decline began to appear in the performances of George Springer before the latter knew the worst year of his career in 2024. However, this season, the 35 -year -old man has had his best season since 2022, he who has an average of the stick of, 291 with 18 circuits, 57 products produced, an OPS of, 889 and an OPS+ of 145 in 101 work games.
On August 1, however, the Blue Jays de Toronto had to place Springer on the list of wounded seven days (retroactively on July 29) for a concussion after he was reached in the head during a stick in the stick and that he missed several games.
But the news is good in the case of the veteran of the Blue Jays. Indeed, no later than yesterday (Tuesday), Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reported that Springer should play with Buffalo bison at the AAA level today (Wednesday).
If he feels good and succeeds in the concussion tests of the MLB, he may only need a rehabilitation match.
It was only the second time since 2021 that Springer landed on the injured list, the most recent time having occurred in 2022 when he had missed matches due to inflammation at the shoulder.
In his absence, the right field was occupied by Voltigeurs Nathan Lukes, Joey Loperfido and Addison Barger. To be polite, let's say that his return will do great good.
If Springer can continue on its momentum of the first half of the campaign, it will be one of the main reasons why Toronto will win the East section championship of the American League.
The concussion can be delicate, let's wait to see the rest of things.
