Two years ago, Aaron Judge underwent a major injury to the big right toe. He hurt himself by achieving an outdoor caught … at the Dodger Stadium.
The fence behind him gave in when he collided with it, and the evil was done: he missed almost two months of activities.
Obviously, at the time, the Dodger Stadium was strongly criticized. After all, you have to make sure that the facilities are safe for players … and clearly, they were not that day.
However, last night, the Dodgers stadium made another victim … But this time, it was a supporter who was injured by the stadium.
In fact, yesterday, the Yankees were passing through, and a club supporter was seated in the stands. And while watching the match, a piece of concrete fell from the stadium and hit him in the back.
And when we look at the images, we see that it was not a little rock: it's a good piece.
The supporter in question needed medical help, and he was clearly in pain. We can understand it: it hurts.
And what we notice is that above the head of the supporter, the concrete is clearly quite worn. So it's not extremely surprising to see that, let's say.
Obviously, we must expect the dodgers to give a fat sum of money in the supporter in question. That said, all that still raises important questions in terms of security for supporters: the stadium is still 63 years old, and who knows if other pieces of concrete could possibly fall from the sky.
This supporter seems to have avoided the worst, but imagine if it had reached the head or if the song had fallen on a child: the consequences could have been much more serious.
Let us hope that it is only an isolated incident and that measures may be taken to ensure the safety of supporters on the spot. And above all, let us wish the Yankees that the Dodger Stadium stops injuring their players, but also their supporters.
