Dave Roberts expected to return to Dodgers in 2023

No, the Los Angeles Dodgers season did not end as expected.

Obviously, when a club wins 111 games in the regular season, we can expect great things in the playoffs.

That said, in Los Angeles, this has not been the case and therefore, due to the contractual situation of several stars, we can expect things to brew in California.

On the other hand, everything indicates that at the level of the position of manager, there will be stability.

According to Jack Harris of the LA Times, the Dodgers have already decided that Roberts will be back in 2023 at the helm of the club.

It won’t make everyone happy.

The one who has been there for seven years will therefore try to bring his formation to the playoffs for an eighth year in a row… but above all, he will aim for another World Series.

Let there be no misunderstanding: Roberts is a good manager and is clearly appreciated by his men and his bosses. That said, in the playoffs, he sometimes makes questionable decisions.

And it is precisely in the series that the club must give more. So is it a good idea to see Roberts back?

Is this the case because, in any event, the experienced candidates at the moment are not necessarily numerous? Maybe.

Unless Aaron Boone… well, let it be.

Changes should therefore take place, by necessity, on the ground. When the free agents who want to leave leave, we will see all that remains to be filled on the rosterbut also in the budget of the rich club.

  • Here is the game schedule for the two championship series.
  • Yu Darvish will kick off Game #1 for the Padres.
  • Nestor Cortes Jr. is ready for tonight if needed.
