Abraham Toro is really on fire (and confident), these days.
The Quebecer plays regularly for the first goal for the Red Sox and he is entitled to good playing times because his performances are there on a regular basis.
Again yesterday, he placed the ball in a safe place twice in a gain of 4-3 of his family at the Fenway Park. And he took the opportunity to hit a long solo ball.
Ultimately, it was the point of victory.
Toro, this season in the major, strikes for .330 and has an ops of .928. Everything he touches turns into gold and he manages to become essential, which is a good thing.
Note also that the Red Soxs were able to count on a beautiful outing of Walker Buehler… in addition to the long ball festival.
In fact, the four points of the red lows were via a long solo ball. Toro has one, Jarren Duran has one and the young Marcelo Mayer hit his first two career circuits at the legendary home of the Red Sox.
Obviously, this is the kind of evening that the young man will never forget.
The Red Sox currently have a 34-36 file and they approach the brand of .500. They have just won two series of follow -ups against division rivals (Yankees and Rays), but there is still work to do.
The Boston club is three games from the series.
- Jorge Alcala exchanged in Boston.
- What a great season in San Francisco.
- The Yankees player was injured.
