Brewers interested in Zack Britton

The Milwaukee Brewers did a good job revamping their bullpen this offseason. And it seems to be paying off since the start of this campaign, with their best pitching corps in the National League Central Division.

But the job may not be over. Indeed, according to Jon Heyman, the Brewers have shown interest in one of the best relievers still on the market, Zack Britton.

The Brewers would not be alone in the dance, however, since the New York Mets would also be interested in acquiring the services of the southpaw. The 12-year MLB veteran, however, is patient with his decision.

Britton has been badly slowed by injuries in recent seasons, but he looks fully recovered and ready to sign with a team for the 2023 campaign.

After missing most of the 2022 season due to Tommy John-type surgery, the reliever made three brief appearances late last year. Nothing convincing.

The 35-year-old is unlikely to return to the level of his prime, but he can certainly help a team that doesn’t skimp on depth, especially on the left side.
