Aaron Boone believes Giancarlo Stanton can have a big season

In 2022, we can say that Aaron Judge carried the New Yankees on his shoulders, almost alone. We also felt the fatigue at the end of the last season.

If the Bronx Bombers are to finally win their first championship since 2009, they’ll need everyone at their best, starting with big hitter Giancarlo Stanton.

His manager, Aaron Boone, remains confident the giant can once again become one of MLB’s toughest hitters, like he did in 2018 when he missed just four games, hitting 38 home runs and producing 100 runs.

He’s a much better hitter than in 2018. If Giancarlo is healthy, plays 130, 140 games, I still think a big season is coming up for him.

The important point in the words of the skipper is the health of the 33-year-old man, who has more often than not been forced to visit the injured list. Last year, he played just 110 games, being sidelined with calf and Achilles heel injuries. He still cannonaded 31 long balls during this period.

Stanton’s contribution to the New York roster goes beyond just the numbers he can put on the board. Despite the fact that he often bites the dust at bat, he provides some protection to the Judge in the batting order, allowing him to get better pitches.

With the Yankees’ anemic offense in the playoffs last fall, a healthy Stanton will never be denied.
